I just spent a fantastic weekend with
I met up with them at a renaissance festival on Saturday. ~Julica is making my costume. It's not done yet, but I got a chance to see it and try it on and I'm very happy with how it's turning out. She is excellent at costumes. She has a really good eye for design. It'll look great for the Kansas City ren-fest later this summer.
Driving into their property is an adventure all in itself. The long, single-lane, meandering dirt road that leads into their little valley has steep inclines, with rivulets of water crossing at each depression. The road dives straight into unmolested forests, and direct sunlight doesn't have much of a chance of getting all the way to the bottom. It is like passing through a green tunnel. The trees are close all around, one expects bandits wearing tights to leap out at any moment and demand your coinpurse in some eloquent prosy way.
Then on Sunday it was Father's day and the first day of summer, and there was a barbecue going on which I attended. Then I drove home afterward. It was a great weekend. I've been so busy with work and running around recently, I've been a bit over-stressed. I originally wasn't going to go, but I decided to go anyway at the last minute and I am so glad I did.
You should have seen some of the belly-dancers at the Ren-fest. They were gorgeous. I like cute belly-dancers. There was also a very talented wood sprite fairy who was entertaining for a long time. *RoninDude was dressed as a ninja, and since he is 6'5" and skinny as a stork it made quite an impression. Especially when he wore his straw cowboy hat and sunglasses. He could have been a rock star, but then you saw the tabi sandals. ~VerbalMayhem was wearing a sort of pirate/gypsy outfit that looked great on him. Then ~BrandonCornwell was wearing his white druid outfit. Combine that with the arabian costumes the girls were wearing and you have quite a collection. I have quite a collection of friends that I would not trade for anything. Not even a Klondike bar.
Well, maybe just one.
I like Klondike bars.

For a couple of time you did say to me that I should put you on my watchlist.(Bah! Too long sentence! -.-)
I still haven't figured it out.
So, if you still want me to do it, I could like a explanation on how I do it dx
Oh, and I love you drawings! n_n
